Tibet weather in spring
Tibet’s spring is from March to May. In spring, most tourists travel to Shannan, Shigatse, Lhasa and Nyingchi prefectures. There are lots of travellers to Nyingchi to see the peach blossom. These prefectures are suitable for a tour all year round. In spring, the temperature of Lhasa at night could fall to -2℃, -3℃, and in daytime, the temperature will rise to 10℃. The climate in Nyingchi is milder in spring and the air is not so dry. Here, you may not feel like you are on a plateau, and just at some water town at Yangtze River Delta.
Tibet weather in summer
Summer in Tibet is very comfortable. The sky is blue and the cloud is white, and temperature is moderate. The sun is burning, but the body is comfort. This sentence seems contradictory, but it is a true reflection of the climate in Tibet. The sun is certainly powerful, but as the air is dry, if you can avoid the sun, the human body has a sense of appropriate comfort, no as hot and humid as inland provinces. Therefore, most of the tourists choose to travel to Tibet in summer.
Tibet weather in autumn Tibet Autumn
Each year from September to November is Tibet’s fall. The fall likes a fairy tale world of Tibet. Many travelers will choose travel to Tibet in autumn. Most of the days in autumn here are with blue skies, little rain and more and more dry air. Morning and night are with slightly lower temperatures and there is large temperature difference between day and night. Remember buying thick clothes, do not catch a cold. Tibet’s autumn also has strong ultraviolet ray. In October, the weather will be just like the weather in winter. High wind is mainly distributing at Nagri, Nagqu and Chamdo.

Lhasa winter is not as cold as you think, as the high latitudes and plenty of sunshine during the day in Lhasa brings the temperature to above 10℃, while evening is around zero, warmer than many places in the north China. Lhasa’s climate is dry and you do not feel cold under the sunshine, especially comfortable.
