Pengtso Lake is located in the northwest of Lhari County, Nagqu. Pengtso means charming and attractive. The water flows into Maidi Zangbu River and finally into Lhasa River. Pengtso Lake belongs to leakage lake and around the lake is a natural pasture. The pasture is full of the brilliant wild flowers and lush grass. The horses and cattle scatter on the mountains and the grass, slowly and smoothly moving around like the clouds in the sky that decorate the mountains and lakes.

Visitors can take long-distance bus or choose self-driving from Lhari County, Nagqu. Please pay attention to weather conditions. In the rainy season (July & August), cars often get struck in the mud and delays happen frequently.
