Baxoi County, occasionally transliterated from Tibetan as Pashoe County, (Tibetan: དཔའ་ཤོད་རྫོང་ Wylie dpa’ shod rdzong; Chinese: 八宿县; Pinyin: Bāsù Xiàn) is a county of the Chamdo Prefecture in the Tibet Autonomous Region, Population 35,273 (1999). It contains the Pomda Monastery.

Highlights of Baxoi County

Ranwu Lake(然乌湖): also know as Ranwok Lake, is found in the village of Ran, in the county of Chamdo, roughly 90km from Town of Baima (white horse). Ran Wu Lake was formed by the blocking of rivers, the main one being Parlongzangbu, by debris from landsides, glaciers, and natural walls.

Pomda Monastery: Village of Pomda, Bamda is a village and monastery in Baxoi County, Tibet. Pomda Monastery is a lamasery in Bomda. It was destroyed in 1959 but rebuilt between 1984 and 1988. The monastery is around 360 years old and is home to 90 monks. The entrance hallway has a number of murals depicting monastic dress codes.

Laigu Glaciers(来古冰川): The Laigu Glacier is the name for a group of glacier in the Rawo , Baxio Town of Qamdo area, Tibet. It is next to the Rawo Lake which is one of the three biggest glacier in the world.
