According to official information from Tibet Autonomous Region, from October 15, 2019 through March 15, 2020 the third round of the “Tibet Winter Travel Season”, a market promotion of preferential tourism policies, have officially started.

According to the Potala Palace Office of Administration, the Potala Palace will be free to visit during this period under preferential policies. These preferential policies cover scenic spots, travel agencies, and starred hotels and so on. For tourism scenic spots, except for monasteries, state-owned level 3A and above scenic spots are free to visit, and state-owned scenic spots under level 3A and non-state-owned level A scenic spots will be half price of off season pricing.
