About Qizi Peak 

Qizi peak is located in the northwest of Yangbajing, 6206 meters above sea level, there is snowing all year round. From the south, it looks round, but from the north, it is steep, such as knife-chopping general. This mountain is the training base for the Ozarks Alpine School(奥索卡高山学校) in Tibet.

Attraction Transportation

Covering the distance of about 326 kilometers, the highway from Lhasa to Nagqu is part of the Qinghai-Lhasa highway (one of the most important high ways and also the busiest roads in Tibet), passing Damxung County on the way. Usually, the whole journey takes about 4 to 6 hours.

Road is in good condition. After leaving Lhasa, tourists will enter the grassland of northern Tibet. Some part of the road is in poor condition but the splendid landscape never fails to fascinate the tourists.Winding to the left from the fork in the road at Damxung County, tourists will get to the holy lake of Namtso. 

There are regular buses from Lhasa to Damxung. Prices range from RMB¥60 to RMB¥100 depending on different vehicles. Tourists may rent a vehicle to enjoy the sightseeing in northern Tibet. Damxung is on the way from Lhasa to Namtso Lake and Nagchu. It is very convenient to rent a private car for getting around in the county. It is OK for visitors to hire a local car to have a trip to Namtso Lake.
